Ships with the mihomo core and a graphical interface, so a subscription link can be pasted in and imported right away. Rule mode, DNS and TUN are all adjusted visually in the settings panel. A good fit if you want it working right after installation and do not plan to hand-write configuration files.

mihomo core
The core files are intended for servers, routers and container environments, where you write your own config.yaml and start it from the command line. Regular users can just use the graphical clients above — they already bundle the same core, so there is no need to download it separately.

After installation
The installer only covers the client itself; getting online also requires importing a subscription link. The three steps below cover the full flow from import to verification, and the usage guide has more detailed instructions.
Open the client, paste the subscription link on the subscription or configuration page and save it, then wait for the configuration to download. If nodes and policy groups appear in the list, the import succeeded; if the list is empty, first check that the link itself is reachable.
For everyday use, stay in rule mode so traffic is split between direct and proxy according to the rule set; switch to global mode only when all traffic should go through the proxy. Turn on system proxy and TUN mode as the client prompts — TUN mode is better at covering programs that ignore the system proxy.
Open one site inside mainland China and one outside, then return to the client's connection list and confirm the two connections land on DIRECT and on a proxy policy respectively. If both use the same policy, check whether the rule set finished loading and reload the configuration.

The button URL is resolved from the release manifest when the page opens and points to the latest published installer for that client. If the manifest request fails, the button falls back to the built-in URL, which still downloads normally — the version may just not be the newest.
New users can go straight to Clash Plus: install it and import a subscription to get started. Choose Clash Verge Rev if you maintain your own rule files and switch profiles often. Clash for Windows is no longer maintained and is only recommended for opening old configurations.
Open the Apple menu at the top left and choose About This Mac. If the Chip field shows Apple silicon, pick the arm64 build; if it shows Intel, pick the x64 build. Both builds look and work the same — only the compiled architecture differs.
By default the system blocks browsers and file managers from installing apps. In Settings, grant the Install unknown apps permission to the browser or file manager you use, then turn it off once the install is done.

The version number comes from the release manifest. When upstream has not published yet or the manifest has not been updated, the field is empty and the page hides the whole version slot; the file the download button points to is unaffected.
